For over 12 years, Canchola has represented independent and up-and-coming filmmakers and producers, enabling them to bring their stories to life. She regularly handles film financing, corporate formations, trademark and copyright fillings, contract negotiation, production financing and production legal for her clients. Her recent work highlights currently include representing the producers of the films “Call Me By Your Name” and “The Disaster Artist;” both films were nominated for Academy Awards. She also represented five films nominated for Independent Spirit Awards.
Amelia Gonzales de Vargas, born on April 5, 1923 in Pawnee Rock, Kansas went to be with the Lord March 7, 2017 at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her Parents: Jesus Gonzales and Joaquina Rico de Gonzales; Husband: Rafael Vargas Reyes; Sons: Vicente, Trinidad, Eduardo and Gustavo; Daughter: Isabel and Brother: Rumaldo Gonzales. She is survived by her Sons: Ruben Vargas (Maria), Abel Vargas (Guillermina), Rafael Vargas and Leonel Vargas; Daughters: Lupe Vargas De Saenz (Abelardo), Maria de Jesus Vargas de Gutierrez (Treberto); Susana Vargas and Alicia Vargas de Ruiz (Javier); Numerous Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren and Great great-grandchildren. We would like to give our sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Ruiz family for all the care and love they gave our grandmother. She will forever be in our hearts.
